WELCOME

Welcome to the website for the families who are descendants of William Edward Dawson & Ann Isabella Dawson (née Pratt). As of March 2024, we know about just over 300 direct descendants – including spouses and partners, the total is well over 400. This site has been set up to share photos, videos and stories so that we can all learn more about – and, hopefully, meet at least some – more members of our extended family.

We launched the site in September 2022, mostly with information about just two of William and Ann’s eleven children – James, the second eldest, and Isabel, the eldest of their three daughters. As you can now see, the site has grown since then and we hope that all parts of the family will be able to help and support us as we try to build out more of the picture.

We would love to hear from all our cousins, particularly with stories and pictures that will help us learn about each other and our common, or in some cases, not so common history. If you want to add anything to the site, please get in touch through the email address which can be found on every page of the site. And if you spot something that you think is wrong, please don’t get upset! We’ll put it right just as soon as you tell us what the right story is.
